Patches are produced with a merrow or heat-cut border, then attached with iron-on backing, Velcro (hook & loop), or sewn on. Yes. Patches are cut to the logo outline (die-cut or merrow border), so irregular shapes, characters and mascots are all possible. The cutting method affects the border look: merrow gives a classic stitched edge, laser/heat cut gives a clean sealed edge.
