Application Methods
How a patch attaches determines where it can go and how long it lasts:
- Sew-on (most durable). A stitched border — merrow or straight stitch — makes the patch part of the garment. Best for jackets, denim, and bags that face heavy wear.
- Heat-press (fastest). A hot-melt adhesive backing bonds the patch to the fabric in 8–15 seconds at 130–150°C. Great for production lines and soft-shell fabrics.
- Adhesive-backed (no equipment). Peel-and-stick for prototypes, samples, or low-volume runs. Less wash-durable, best for display or short-life items.
